Sunday November 19th Meeting!

We had an awesome meeting today! Five new members came and learned how to knit, and our amazing member Bella donated a huge batch of HavenHouse St. Louis winter items!!! We also took a picture of our beautiful red scarf donation for Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project and a photo of some of the knitters who knitted them. Have a great Thanksgiving and we'll see you soon!

October 22nd Meeting!

We had a fantastic meeting today! Two new members donated items, we received beautiful donations from our other awesome members and some yarn donations as well! HavenHouse St. Louis, be ready for some amazing winter items coming soon!!! Keep up the wonderful work, and we'll see you next time.

October 17th Meeting!

We had a fantastic first meeting of knitting club at Ladue Middle School today! Lots of awesome new members came and learned how to knit in just one hour!!! Congrats everyone, and keep up the amazing work!

Sunday September 24th Meeting!

We had an amazing meeting turnout this afternoon!!! Lots of new members attended, most of whom learned how to knit at the meeting! We received a large donation of beautiful items today, including some gorgeous items from our newest member, Abby. Keep up the fantastic work and we hope to see you soon!

Sunday August 27th, 2017 Meeting!!

We had a fantastic meeting this afternoon!! Lots of new members came to learn about KKIF, including four new knitters! Items for HavenHouse, NIN, and Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project were donated! Marge, a member of Warm Up America's local chapter, came to talk to us about the blankets they make and the organizations they serve. Keep up the great work, everyone!!

P.S. We've spent over 3000 hours knitting!!!!!! Woohoooo!!!

Pencil cases

Shopping for school supplies? Pencil cases make a handy container for small knitting supplies such as scissors, measuring tape, stitch markers, tapestry needles, etc.

Yarn Crawl 2017!!!

Today we traveled as a group to three different yarn shops around St. Louis to participate in the annual Summer's Last Blast Yarn Crawl event! Members had fun visiting the shops and looking at all the beautiful yarn and patterns, and, of course, getting lots of inspiration for new projects!

Sunday July 23rd Meeting!

We had a great meeting today! Members showed off and donated their recently finished items! We had several new members join as well. Keep up the great work, and we hope to see you soon! Happy knitting!

June 3rd meeting at Knitorious

Many thanks to Knitorious (3268 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO  63139) for allowing us to meet at their shop this afternoon. May led us on a tour around the shop. We learned about different types of yarn, how to read a yarn label, and were inspired by the finished projects displayed throughout the store. Some attendees worked on red scarves for Foster Care to Success's Red Scarf Project and one member started knitting a scarf for HavenHouse St. Louis.  Please let us know if you need yarn, patterns, or knitting help for your summer projects!

June 3rd donation to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!

Today we donated 17 knitted items (baby afghans, baby hats, a bib, dresses, a sweater, and toys) to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri. Many thanks to Carolyn, Joanne M, Joanne S, LaDonna, May, and Yunju for knitting these items. Shout out to LaDonna for assembling our first patchwork baby afghan and to the many members who knitted squares for the blanket!

May 10, 2017 Meeting!

We had a wonderful and quiet meeting tonight! Members started new projects, donated finished ones, and continued working on matching up the baby afghan squares. We almost have one afghan ready with another soon to follow! Keep knitting, everyone, and we'll see you this summer!!

Sunday April 23rd meeting!

We had a nice meeting this afternoon! Several members finished up projects for Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri and HavenHouse St. Louis. We received donations of knitted baby hats, a baby sweater, a baby dress, baby afghan squares, and a scarf for HavenHouse St. Louis (scarf not pictured). Many thanks to Carolyn, Joanne M, Joanne S, Madeline, May, and Yun Ju for knitting these items. Wednesday, April 12th 2017 Meeting!

We had a nice meeting tonight! Several members donated finished projects, and two of our members, Joanne and LaDonna, worked on matching up baby afghan squares to be sewn together. Once we have enough squares, we'll sew them together and make a baby afghan that lots of people have knitted parts of!! Keep up the great work, everyone!

Beautiful yarn donation!!!

Thank you so much to our friend Caroline L. in Connecticut for the amazing donation of 36 skeins of yarn!!! We'll be using this yarn to make hats and scarves for HavenHouse St. Louis and baby items for Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!

March 12, 2017 meeting!

We had a great meeting today! Two more baby items for Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri were donated-- thank you, Yun Ju for knitting the colorful baby afghan and the cute baby dress. LaDonna and Joanne worked on piecing together some baby afghan squares and figuring out what complementary colors to include in the finished blanket. Other members continued working on their projects.

March 4th donation to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri

We donated 1 baby afghan, 10 baby hats, 2 sweaters, and 1 bib  to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri (NIN) today. February 19, 2017 Meeting!!

We had a wonderful meeting today! Several members donated items for Newborns in Need of Eastern MO, and everyone had fun working on their projects. Keep knitting for NIN! Today we celebrated the completion of Sarah's Gold Award project with a special cake! Kids Knitting it Forward will continue under the guidance of our new president: May! Keep up the fantastic work!!
