Bella's Donation!!

A big shout-out and thank you to our wonderful member, Bella! She knitted 38 hats for HavenHouse St. Louis and 9 baby afghans for Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!!! Wow! Thank you so much, Bella, and keep up the great work, everyone! Remember, we're donating to HavenHouse at the end of January, so keep that in mind as you work on your projects!

December 18, 2016 Meeting!

We had a great last meeting of 2016 this afternoon! It was a quiet meeting, but fun to knit with the members who braved the cold weather. Thank you all so much for the hard work you've put into knitting items this year! See you in January!

December 7, 2016 Meeting!

We had a great meeting on Wednesday night! One member donated her first few items, and lots of other members donated items as well. We are still working on a HavenHouse challenge so find some yarn that speaks to you and keep knitting! Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

December 3rd donation to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!

Today we donated 1 afghan, 3 pairs of baby booties, and 14 baby hats to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!  Many thanks to Diya, Grace W, Katie, Marilyn, May, Olivia K, and Ovya for your hard work knitting these baby items!

HavenHouse St. Louis Donation!

This afternoon we donated 21 scarves, 11 hats, 3 headbands, 1 pair of slippers, and 2 pairs of gloves to HavenHouse St. Louis! Thank you to Elise, LaDonna, Olivia K, Sarah, Joanne M, May, Katie, Grace W, Ovya, Diya, Lane, Carolyn, Pam, Nancy, and Aleesha for your hard work knitting those beautiful items! We will be donating more items to HavenHouse in a few months, so keep knitting winter items in all sizes and colors!

Donation to Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project!

Today we mailed a donation of 20 red scarves to Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project HQ! We're very proud of all the hard work everyone put into knitting those scarves. We appreciate all of you!

November 20th Meeting!

We had a wonderful meeting today! Lots of new members joined and several members donated items. We now have 20 red scarves to donate to Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project this year! Thank you to everyone who knitted or is currently working on a red scarf! We will now be switching over to knit winter items for HavenHouse St. Louis. Keep up the great work, everyone!

Wednesday November 9, 2016 Meeting!

We had a great meeting last night! Members continued working on red scarves and other projects. Four members completed and turned in their first knitted items--red scarves for Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project! This brings our red scarf total up to 14! Keep up the great work and keep knitting!

Sunday October 23rd, 2016 Meeting!

We had a great meeting today! 6 new members joined Kids Knitting it Forward, and immediately got started knitting once they learned how. We currently have 9 red scarves for Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project, and we want to get at least 10 more! Keep up the awesome work, everyone!

October 12th Meeting

We had a nice meeting tonight! Members worked on red scarves and had fun chatting together. A large pattern book was passed around and members had fun looking through it for ideas. Remember, we're trying to make 30 red scarves to donate to Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project by November! Keep the great work!

September 25, 2016 Meeting!

We had an awesome meeting today! Lots of new members joined, including four teens who learned how to knit with the help of our amazing adult volunteers! Several members also donated items and started new projects. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!

September 14, 2016 Meeting

We had a nice meeting tonight! One new member joined KKIF and began working on a red scarf, while other members finished off projects or kept working on older projects! Keep up the great work!!

We had a fantastic meeting today!! 8 new members joined, and 7 of them learned how to knit at the  meeting! Five members donated items, and everyone had fun starting, finishing, or working on projects. Keep up the great work, everyone!

Today we had a great meeting! We had one new member come to learn how to knit, and several other members donated their first projects!! Everyone had fun talking and knitting, and lots of members finished off items and started new ones. Great work, everyone!

Saturday June 4, 2016 KKIF Meeting at NIN!

Today, KKIF members attended the Newborns in Need of Eastern MO meeting to meet their members and find out more about NIN! We donated 1 afghan, 1 bib, and 8 baby hats to NIN today! Members enjoyed meeting new people and learning about NIN as well as helping to bag up items to be donated to the agencies that they serve! Great work everyone!

May 11, 2016 Meeting!

Despite the rain, we had a productive and fun meeting tonight! Several members donated items, including one member who donated her first baby hat for Newborns in Need of Eastern MO! Members had fun looking at books of new patterns and finishing off projects. Great work, everyone!

May 6th 2016 Newborns in Need Donation!!!

Today we made a huge donation to Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri!!! We donated 34 baby hats, 7 pairs of baby booties, 5 bibs, 6 afghans, and 2 sweaters!!! We spent 287 hours on just these donations!! We surpassed our NIN Challenge goal and we are so excited! Fantastic work, everyone!!

Sunday April 17th Meeting!

We had a wonderful meeting today! Lots of members donated items and we have great news! We have knitted 60 items for the Newborns in Need of Eastern MO Challenge which is twice our original goal!!!! We are so proud of the all the hard work our members have put in! Keep it up!

Wednesday April 13th Meeting!

Last Wednesday we had a great meeting! Lots of members donated items, including a member who donated her first item! We're making great progress on our Newborns in Need Challenge! Keep up the fabulous work everyone!

Sunday March 20th Meeting!

We had a fantastic meeting today!!! 14 baby hats, 1 pair of baby booties, 1 baby sweater, and 4 four baby bibs for Newborns in Need of Eastern MO; 1 headband and 1 hat for HavenHouse St. Louis; and 1 red scarf for Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project were donated today alone!!! We now have 33 items for NIN, breaking our goal of 30 items!! Keep knitting everyone! Let's get to 50 items by May!

Sunday February 28, 2016 KKIF Meeting!

We had an awesome meeting today! Several members finished projects and donated items, including a new hat and headband for HavenHouse St. Louis and 2 baby hats and 1 pair of baby booties for Newborns in Need of Eastern MO (NIN)! We will now be starting a NIN Challenge!! We would like to have at least 30 knitted items (baby hats, baby booties, baby afghans, etc.) to donate by the end of May! Keep up the great work!

February 10th 2016 Meeting!

We had a nice, quiet meeting on Wednesday night! Several members donated completed projects including two baby hats and a baby bib for Newborns in Need of Eastern MO, and a red scarf for Foster Care to Success' Red Scarf Project! Members had fun knitting and admiring the snow during the meeting! Great work everyone!

January 31st 2016 KKIF Meeting!

We had an awesome meeting today!!  Several more warm winter hats were donated to HavenHouse St. Louis and many members started on baby hats for Newborns In Need of Eastern Missouri and other members continued working on their projects!! We had a new member join today, and she picked up knitting right away and started in on a hat!! For the next few months, we will be having a Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri Challenge!!! Let's make at least 30 items!! Keep up the great work!! 

January 13th 2016 Meeting!

We had a great meeting Wednesday night! Several new members joined and began working on baby afghan squares for Newborns in Need of Eastern Missouri. Two more scarves for HavenHouse STL were donated! Great work everyone!

Our First Donation to HavenHouse St. Louis!!!!

Today we donated 36(!!!) items to HavenHouse St. Louis!!!! 11 hats, 19 scarves, 4 headbands, 1 cowl, and 1 pair of gloves knitted by our amazing members!! Our items will help keep Havenhouse guests warm this winter! We are so proud of everyone! Keep up the fantastic work!
